The mission of the University of Zambia Library is to provide access to information for the university's faculty and students while supporting the broader institutional goals of educational leadership, academic excellence, and diversity and inclusion.
Core Goals
Information Access: Deliver vital learning and research materials across all subjects taught at the university.
Academic Support: Enhance teaching, learning, and research through print, electronic, and digital collections.
Skill Development: Teach effective use of information resources and critical evaluation skills.
Libraries
As the heart of the University of Zambia, the University Libraries support and augment the teaching, learning and research of the University community. The Libraries promote intellectual growth and creativity by developing collections, facilitating access to information resources, teaching the effective use of information resources and critical evaluation skills and offering research assistance.
